Although the work is not complicated, because no two cases are identical, each person will have to make adjustments to the pattern to accommodate the size of their case. Each case is hallmarked sterling silver, and many have inscriptions or are memorabilia for something which makes them very special.
The work is done in satin stitch and cross stitch over one. I've used mostly over-dyed threads by Gloriana. You will learn how to attach the small pin cushion and the little needle pages. The scrimshaw ruler will be available for you to buy separately and I've used ‘Premie' scissors as these are the only ones small enough for the cases. The tools are not included in the price. At the end of your work you will have the most beautiful etui which you can safely use all the time, carry with you and never fear that your embroidery will be spoilt.
